Our proof is our own businesses
Before we offered this to anyone else, we did it for ourselves. Signet Workflow was founded by owner-operators who put AI to work inside real construction, concrete, and roofing companies — at three different sizes. These are those stories.
Most firms selling AI have never run the kind of business they are advising. We are the opposite. Three of our founders own and operate companies in the trades, each at a different scale, and each rebuilt the way their business runs with AI before we ever turned it into a service. The same approach held up for a smaller design-build shop, a high-volume concrete operation, and a multi-discipline roofing and restoration contractor.
Tuck GC — Design-Build General Contracting
The business: a smaller, design-build general contractor in Northern Virginia handling more complex concrete, hardscaping, stonework, and carpentry projects.
The challenge: the craft was never the problem. The drag was everything around it — permit drawings, lead intake, scheduling, and the bids and contracts that pile up after a twelve-hour day in the field.
What we did:
- Permit drawings. VDOT permit drawings were drawn by hand — four hours or more of work apiece, dozens of times a year. We built an automated process where a few data points and the original survey are dropped into the customer folder, and AI produces the drawing. A task that used to eat half a day became a near-immediate one.
- A custom CRM. We built a CRM in Google Sheets tied into Google Contacts and Google Drive, automating lead intake and appointment scheduling so nothing is entered twice and nothing slips through.
- Contracts, two ways. Simple jobs like driveways use locked, tab-through templates that turn a multi-hour contract into a few minutes. Larger design-build contracts are generated by dictating a short brief to AI and getting a finished draft back.
- The website. Rebuilt and tuned for conversion, it went from very few leads to a steady minimum of one a day — and up to seven on a busy day.
The result: the work that used to get pushed to “another day” now turns around in under 24 hours, and closing rates rose by roughly 50%. The business runs tighter and captures more of the leads it earns — without the owner working later into the night.
JP Companies — High-Volume Concrete
The business: a larger mid-size concrete company running high volume — one to two jobs a day, day in and day out — with constant coordination across crews, concrete pours, delivery trucks, and outside parties.
The challenge: at that pace, the hard part is moving a large volume of information and keeping every job coordinated without dropping a ball.
What we did: the same playbook as Tuck GC, scaled for volume. AI runs through the day drafting emails, contracts, and routine documents; a custom CRM keeps the high flow of jobs and customers organized; and the website was reworked with AI to bring in more leads. The emphasis here is less on any single task and more on handling scale — keeping a fast, high-volume operation organized and moving.
Impact Roofing — Roofing, Restoration & Exteriors
The business: a mid-to-large roofing and exterior contractor spanning insurance restoration, standard roofing, and high-end jobs that can run into six figures across multiple disciplines.
The challenge: these projects are long and data-heavy — running for months and involving invoices, receipts, payments, and insurance money that all have to be tracked without losing the thread.
What we did: built a proprietary CRM in house that tracks invoices, receipts, payments, and insurance disbursements, and keeps lengthy multi-month projects on course. The team also rebuilt their website and automated much of the day-to-day process internally — tools matched to the complexity of large, long-running jobs.
An honest note: these are our own companies, and the results above reflect the specific work we put in. Every business is different, and we do not promise a particular number. What we can say is that we have done this inside our own operations first — at three different sizes — and that is the experience we bring to yours.
