What is a client portal for a contractor?

A lead from your website becomes a customer record, the appointment lands on your Google Calendar, the contract is signed online by both sides, and the payment goes into your PayPal business account.
Who is the portal for?
A contractor who has outgrown the inbox. On the Website and Growth levels, leads land in your Gmail and you take it from there. When there are more leads than you can track by memory, or more than one person needs to see where each job stands, the portal is the next step.

Your contracts and your data
Your contract and its terms are yours; we load the contract you give us, and we don’t give legal advice. The portal records who signed and when. Your leads, customers, documents and payment records are yours, and we export them on request.
The portal is set up as is. Changes to how it works are quoted separately, in writing, before we start.

Is this the same system Tuck GC uses?
Yes. Each client gets a separate copy of the portal Tuck GC runs its business on, with its own data, set up with your company name, logo and colors.
Can the portal be changed to work the way we do?
We set it up as is. Changes to how it works, or features built for you, are quoted separately as custom work.
Who owns the data in the portal?
You do. Your leads, customers, documents and payment records are yours. We export them for you on request, as a spreadsheet with your files, and send a full export before the service ends.
Does Signet ever hold our customers’ payments?
No. Payments go from your customer to your own PayPal business account. PayPal’s terms and fees apply.
Do I need the portal to get leads from my website?
No. On the Website and Growth levels, leads land in your Gmail. The portal is for when you want every lead and job tracked in one place.
How long does Signet Workflow take to set up the portal?
About two weeks once your contract is ready, including one training session for your team. Signet Workflow loads your contract only after your attorney approves it.
What does the portal cost each month?
$250 a month once it goes live, month to month. That covers hosting, security, backups, fixes and the improvements Signet Workflow makes to the portal for all clients.
